Prompt #1 - Who Knows You Best?

Some people feel their best friend can write a novel describing their entire life because they've known each other since that red sandbox at daycare. Others believe their spouse is their true confidant. As if they are a magical whiteboard one scribes their secrets to and the unspoken words are absorbed, never to be shown or seen again. Once something is shared with another person, there is always the chance for it to be brought back to your attention; more so, your own words can be used as bullets to shoot you down into an emotional grave. These fears keep all of us from revealing 100 percent of ourselves. Protection. We see vulnerability as weakness and no one wants to be deemed "the wimpy kid."
So, who knows you best? How many versions of yourself have you gone through to understand your mind, emotions, and actions? Can you tell the difference between the real you and the façade?
Truth is, all variations of you are genuine.
